This potential sleeper of the vintage exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as sweet cassis and black cherry fruit interwoven with hints of licorice and smoke. With ripe tannins, sufficient acidity for freshness and nuance, and a moderately weighty, long personality, it is a very good effort to enjoy over the next 12-15 years. Robert Parker April 2009
