What a compelling wine Chateau de Fargues has become. The 2008 has 130 g/l residual sugar and 13.7 degree alcohol. Tasted both as a blend and from lots in barrel, it has an intense, rich honeyed nose with superb definition, an almost TBA-like bouquet that is captivating. The palate is superb: vibrant, honeyed, expressive, taut and beautifully defined, lingering honeyed notes laced with apricot and Seville orange towards the finish.
